Myers Park North Carolina

Posted to

The neighborhood of Myers Park—located on the west side of Providence Road and south of Uptown Charlotte—is one of the city’s most prestigious residential areas. With impressive historic mansions and gently curving streets lined with giant oak trees, the area boasts picturesque Southern charm and a quiet elegance that stands apart from the bustling Uptown neighborhoods only minutes away. Myers Park offers close proximity to one of Charlotte’s best medical facilities, the Presbyterian Hospital, as well as plenty of educational institutions, such as the Myers Park Traditional School, the Myers Park High School, and the highly acclaimed Queens University of Charlotte. Attractions within the neighborhood include the nearby Mint Museum of Art in Eastover, as well as many historic landmarks, such as the former home of Duke University founder James Buchanan Duke (which now serves as a bed and breakfast), the Myers Park Methodist Church, and the Myers Park Presbyterian Church. The neighborhood also offers casual and fine dining, Theater Charlotte, Myers Park Country Club, Wing Haven (a garden and bird sanctuary), specialty retail shops, and banking centers.
